Wind Turbines, a poem for the Queer body.

The Queer body is expected to succumb to disease.

Indifference to Trans healthcare and HIV,
is designed to prove we're weak and deformed, to push Nature to break us through neglect.

But we are Nature.

The Queer body is not a biological weapon to dismantle.

It's a kinetic sculpture,
a wind turbine
harvesting energy from
hurricanes.

A long memory to adapt and recharge,
always growing back.

Why man-made efforts to subjugate us
always exhaust themselves,
while our generations
power generations.
